Interlibrary Loan Request
Our library buys the books and materials that we think are most wanted by our community. Because of limited resources and space we can’t buy everything that is published, but we can usually get it from another library. This is called Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Our library is part of a vast network of participating Iowa libraries that are willing to loan out materials to other libraries.
The Kalona Library offers this service free of charge. You may request books, audiobooks, music CDs as well as DVDs. We do request a limit of three items at one time and it can take 2-3 weeks for your item(s) to arrive here at the library. When your requested item(s) do arrive library staff will notify you via your account preferences.
*It should be noted that materials released within the last 6-8 months are harder to obtain due to each libraries' own community demands.
