The mission of the Kalona Public Library is to provide the community a pleasant and helpful environment with a diversity of materials to stimulate imagination and encourage lifelong learning.

  • Community members will have regular access to library materials regardless of their ability to visit the library

  • Residents will have the resources they need to identify and analyze risks, benefits, and alternatives before making decisions that affect their health and wellness
  • Patrons will understand how to evaluate information and determine credible sources

 

Visit a Comfortable Place: Physical and Virtual Spaces

  • All library guests will be greeted by a warm and welcoming space
  • Kalona residents will enjoy family-oriented interactive outdoor activities at the library
  • Patrons will receive a multitude of accessible virtual programs and digital collections
